TheTravelsketcher’s Tuesday Tip

Take a break.

Sometimes it is just good to take a break, often when we return to a task we have more clarity and energy. So I am going to take my own advice and take a break from posting here for a couple of weeks.

Other than the one oil painting I posted last week of La Thebauderie, and another painting which I have half heartedly been working on, I have pretty much been in a sketching and painting desert. I recently posted on Instagram that I am taking a break there as well, not sure what the future holds for my involvement with Instagram since the dealings and maneuvers of Meta, the parent company, continue to be problematic.

I did get a new iPad, a bit larger, though I only have limited use of it at the moment thanks to some confusion at the Apple Store. My Apple account is frozen until this evening, so I can’t even use Procreate. Once all is up and running again I want to get on with a project that I have put off for way too many years – fingers crossed.

Like I posted on Instagram, a break from posting here does not mean I want to be cut off from everyone, so feel free to email me, text, send a photo of what you are up to or sketching, I will reply for sure. I will be reading your posts and commenting as well.

Thanks for following and supporting, it means a lot. And be sure to check out Tricia’s continuing series on Paris.

I took a jail break one time but the warden did not think it was as good an idea as you suggest. He did, however, give me a nice tiny room all to myself along with fresh, reconstituted potatoes for every meal for 50 days.
