The hope of the ginkgo tree. A watercolor study for a much larger acrylic painting. Ginkgo trees have been a sign of hope for centuries, actually prehistoric in there biology. Six actually survived the first A-bomb, the only trees that did.This is one of the buildings I have wanted to sketch, I went to the door after sketching only to find it is no longer in business.
