Chartres was inspiring in so many ways. We visited Galerie Magi where we not only bought a few pieces of art, but I got to chat with the artist. His style and what he showed me inspired me to try some different looks.
I did this one of the cathedral on my iPad using Procreate. I love just the hint of the sun on the sides of the steeples.
Here are a couple of others using a more fanciful approach based on the inspiration from the gallérie we visited.
Each morning we were there I went for my early coffee at the same place; here are two other sketches over morning coffee.
We had such a great time at Chartres, I am so glad Lisa suggested we go there.

Seeing the Cathedral was the fullfillment of a dream I had since college. Thank you and Tricia so much for sharing it with me. These sketches are all so wonderful. I love the ones with the whimsical touches. You are so talented at incorporating different artistic styles into your work.
