TheTravelsketcher Journal, from Isle-sur-La-Sourge, 8 Avril 2022

We are in Provence, after a hectic week of returning our rental car, starting the French process of buying a car, missing a train thanks to me missing a notice at the train station, sitting for a long while on the train as the power went out for a bit on most all the train system. But we are here, had a nice evening, and with all the unexpected events I can’t think of anyplace I would rather be. Here are some pages and sketches from the week.

One thing I have learned from this move and life is the importance of routine to keep us grounded. The early Christians, as well as most religions, are built around remembrance and routine practices. What I find is that my morning routine gives real comfort, and I hope helps me stay calm. Doesn’t always work but I try.

On the TGV south of Lyon, hazy morning.
