Dubrovnik continues to charm us. What was once a quiet, off the radar, destination, or so fellow blogger Lynnette of “In the Net! – Pictures and Stories of Life” tells me, is now a busy destination thanks to the filming location of The Game of Thrones. Still we cannot get over the magic of the place.

At the moment Tricia, Travels Through My Lens, and I are sitting in the square outside of our vacation rental working on our blogs. The warm sun is comforting my back as well as a heating pad would be doing at home, but the activity and the ambience is much better here.

Before heading out this morning we did a bit of laundry, then hung it out as if we were locals.

And of course people in doorways continue to intrigue me.

This morning we took the challenge of the city wall, its hundreds of steps and heights failed to intimidate us. Our reward was some amazing views of the city roofs and the Adriatic Sea.

Yesterday we ate lunch just outside of the city walls with amazing views.

We took a break after our castle wall adventure in the square just outside our rental before going to lunch.

After a good lunch at the base of the stairs that were used for filming of “The Walk of Shame” in The Game of Thrones, we went back to an artist’s studio to buy a painting for our gallery wall of remembrance. I love the colors and the style, the artist is a delightful woman who we enjoyed talking with and hearing her story.

We still have a few days here in Dubrovnik before we head back to Split and other destinations in Croatia; we will enjoy every day.
