TheTravelsketcher’s Tuesday Tip – the morning after

The sole art that suits me is that which, rising from unrest, tends toward serenity.” Andre Gide

In our life’s times of unrest, art is a place to seek serenity. As my mind struggles to comprehend yesterday, art gives a bit of calm. The idealism of optimism has faded, but I cling to the possibilities of hope. So keep on sketching and painting, find something that brings you peace.

Thank you, Terry.. I sit here deeply disappointed in my fellow Americans who chose to vote this way. But I also acknowledge that our whole political system needs an overhaul. The system failed us.

    1. Laura; like you I am so disappointed. It’s unfathomable that so many people can support such an evil person. Indeed, the system has failed us.

I’m British but feel your pain and fear for the future of democracy and the damage he’ll do. Without a strong USA to hold back a Russian madman I worry Europe will be plunged into war.
