TheTravelsketcher’s Tuesday

Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art… it has no survival value; rather it is one of those things which give value to survival. C. S. Lewis

Here in the US we celebrate Thanksgiving Day this week. It always pains me when I hear it called “turkey day;” which implies a bit of extravagant consumption rather than a moment to contemplate all of the blessings we have.

So I send you wishes for time spent with friends, some laughter, and some art, and of course gratitude. For you folks who follow from other continents I wish you the same, thank you all for following.

We may not eat much turkey Down Under but wholly espouse Thanksgiving as a special day to think, hope and wish . . . the very best to your wife and yourself . . .

    1. Thanks and the same back to you. We only eat turkey about once a year, not really our favorite, but this week I am doing something different, a turkey leg roulade, will post Friday.
