This has been a truly thankful week. Much of our time of course has been unpacking and we have made a lot of progress, it feels like home.

Saturday we had lunch with my son and daughter-in-law in Lake Oswego, Sunday our daughter and son-in-law, then on Wednesday our friends came over for a pre-Thanksgiving get together. We spent Thanksgiving in Newberg with our daughter, her husband and a couple of their friends. Today we had a video call with some friends in France. This is why we came back to Portland – friends and family, and we are glad we did.
With all of the busyness there I have not had a lot of time for art, but of course I still did a bit. BTW, be sure to check out Tricia’s posts on the French Arrondissements, I have been doing a weekly map for her to go along with her wonderful photos and descriptions.
Our view from the 4th floor to the street below is a dynamic scene of people and traffic, though the people usually outnumber the cars.

France and our travels in Europe will continue to be a source of inspiration for a long time to come. Here is one from our last week in Paris.

If you have followed this blog in recent months you know how much we loved Avignon, here is one I did from one of our evenings sitting at La Cave Des Pas Sages.

It feels good to be settling in, and hopefully my back and feet will appreciate it as well. Our new chapter has begun in earnest for sure.
I hope your journeys and travels are peaceful and rewarding, and that you are capturing some on paper or ipad. I love hearing from you as always.
This apartment is a far cry from Lathebauderie! It’s perfect for our next chapter.
