This week in The Pearl

This has just been a week of living. Last weekend we visited my son in Vancouver, then on Sunday morning we went to brunch with Alexis and Joe for Tricia’s birthday. Later, Sunday afternoon, friends came over to continue the les festivités. On Wednesday we both got haircuts. Along the way we have finished packing and cleaning so as to be ready for an early flight Saturday morning.

We like that we rarely drive the car, we went five days without driving this week, we can walk to so much. Here are a couple of sketches from the week.

The Star Portland, truly good pizza

While going through some photos I was reminded of the great seafood boil that Alexis and Joe did for Christmas Eve.

Speaking of food, check out this great pizza I had at Taylor StreetTavern.

Now I better get ready for sketching palm trees, oceans, islands, beaches, and boats – tough duty but I think I am up for it.

I hope your travels are peaceful and bring you joy, that you weather the squalls along the way, and of course capture the moments in a sketch. Thanks as always for your company.
